Overcast days are perfect for photographing wildlife. This time, I was sure to have the right lens! (‘I never was a boyscout‘).

The grey squirrels in the yard are fairly used to me and will typically ignore (unless, I am filling the feeders. Then, of course, I have their full attention).

Today, our resident red squirrel, ‘Little Red‘, was up to his usual antics at our side feeders and one grey squirrel in particular seemed to be getting very frustrated with this new competition for food. At one point, he jumped up onto a branch and looked directly at me as if to ask “Aren’t you gonna do anything about this guy?

You Lookin' at Me?

“You Lookin’ at Me?” (Eastern Grey Squirrel) Nikon D300, 200-400mm, 400mm, F/4, 1/60s, ISO 400, SB800 w/Gary Fong Lightsphere Cloud, -1.0EV

In response, I simply shrugged and clicked away! 😀
