Well, day one of art show weekend was a complete bust on account of the weather. 😦 We faired better than many, whose tents either collapsed or blew over in the Nor’easter that swept through the area last night and this morning. A Nor’easter! In summer! What a day!
We managed to get everything set up last night before the rains came and our tent held up just fine. Bright and early this morning, we were ready for all the patrons to oooh and aaah (and, hopefully part with some moolah), but the weather kept most everyone away. When the winds picked up (again) and the drizzle turned back into rain, we decided it was best to shut down and hope for better weather tomorrow.
Back at home, I ventured into the yard to see if I could capture the Yellow Daylilies that I knew were nearing the end of their bloom time. With my tripod perched rather precariously on a sloping rock ledge, the drizzle momentarily subsided and even the sun peeked out just long enough to snap a few.

With how this day went, I’ll take it!
