We really don’t give flower hybridizers enough credit. The variety of shapes and colors that we have access to today is astounding. No longer restricted to just a few plant choices, we can create just about any garden scape we can dream up!

As a newbie gardener, I was drawn to mostly pastel colors. As I have become more experienced, I find that each year my color choices get bolder and bolder. I’m always on the lookout for unusual plant varieties to add interest, whether in form or in color.

These vibrant orange Gerbera daisies were buried deep in a field of pots containing pinks and yellows. I knew in an instant they would come home with me!
