Still playing with my new macro lens!

Though not the best light today (gloomy and overcast – where’d summer go??), I mounted the camera on a tripod and headed out. Past our veggie garden I found a patch of wildflowers that would really test what this lens can do.

"Wild Blue" (Asiatic Dayflower, Commelina communis aka, Mouseflower) Nikon D300, 105mm macro, F/20, 1/30s, -1.7EV, ISO 3200

Believe it or not, this lovely little bloom is only about the size of a penny and yet, all the details are crisp and clean. It’s like having a VIP pass into a whole new miniature world!

This lens is definitely a keeper! 🙂
