We don’t see too many crickets around here, not really sure as to why.

When I first spotted this guy, he was just hanging out atop one of our small landscape lights. After a bit, he hopped from there onto the dying stalks of peony plant close by. It was really difficult to achieve sharp focus on him with my macro lens (and no tripod), so I ended up capturing many, many (many, many, many) blurred shots.

But, as they say, all you need is just one….. 🙂

  1. Fine image – I didn’t see any tree crickets this year. You patience paid off, you got a sharp one!

    • Thanks much, Tom! This was the very first one for me and I was determined! 🙂
