Reflection in Blue

“Reflection in Blue” (Seagull & Reflection) Nikon D300, 550mm (200-400mm w/1.4x teleconverter) F/14, 1/400s, -0.3EV, ISO 500

Today’s focus was about reflections and nothin’ better than low-tide in mid-afternoon light to find some nice ones.

And, yes, I nearly froze my fingers off to get this shot…

Man, what I suffer for art’s sake! 🙂

(By the by, dontcha just love the pink legs??)

  1. I wonder if his legs are pink because he’s freezin’!?

I miss the beach. But it’s always so much colder there! You must be tough…

    • Ha! Maybe! They didn’t seem to mind the cold though…only I was freezing in the wind!

  2. Nice reflection!
Wonder if those finger-less gloves would help any?? Might still freeze your fingers off, but maybe the rest of the hand will stay a little warmer?

    • Thanks Michaela! Actually, I do wear gloves – I have a thin liner pair that I wear inside another warmer set! It was just the wind was cutting right through me and when you stand out in that, holding onto a cold graphite tripod and lens, for any stretch of time (as needed for wildlife photography) it just isn’t enough!
