  1. I like the background and the strange looking spider.

    • Thanks Lynn! I thought it especially nice of the spider to coordinate with the background. πŸ™‚

  2. wow, this is pretty cool. love the colors.

    • Thanks so much, Kim! There were a bunch of these spiders in their perfectly weaved webs the day before, but it was so windy, you couldn’t get a clear shot. Storms blew threw and destroyed all the webs so the next time we passed by, they were in the process of rebuilding. I was bummed at first but snapped a few shots anyways and now, am so glad I did!

  3. Wow, excellent shot. Makes me really feel like staying the hell out of Florida! πŸ™‚
Nice Bokeh, by the way. Really creamy.

    • LOL! Thanks, Dave! From what I read, these little guys are harmless. The spines are all show and designed to make them appear all dangerous to predators (well, I guess it worked on you, eh?) πŸ™‚

      • I’m still hiding under my bed… πŸ™‚

  4. Very Cool. It looks like a character from a Japanese cartoon.

  5. This is one strange looking spider! I like the background, too.

    • There are even some that have a bit of blue on them – wasn’t any of those around at the time. I only snapped one with this background cuz at the time, I thought it wasn’t working…silly me. πŸ™‚

  6. Even me, a bonafide arachniphobe, finds this little subject pretty cool.

  7. That’s a spider? I thought it was one mean and angry ladybug. LOL

  8. WOW, that is one awesome looking bug!
