Hoops was never my game as I’m, ahemvertically challenged, but I know damn well how to shoot a basketball. (You learn alot as a highschool varsity cheerleader).

Don’t believe me? Go ahead, challenge me to a game of H-O-R-S-E.

C’mon, I double dog dare ya! 🙂

“In the Paint” (Basketball Hoop, Kimball-Haskell Park) Playground Series (#10), Nikon D300, 105mm, F/8, 1/500s, ISO 200, ‘Old West’ Toning Action

You just can’t beat the awesome patina on this outdoor backboard which more than qualified it for position #10 in the Playground Series‘.

See you on the court! 🙂

  2. This is a nice close up shot!

  3. All the playgrounds around here are pure plastic, no patina to be found.

    • Lynn, you wouldn’t buh-lieve the places I’ve had to visit to find patina!

  4. love this. and in california, our playgrounds all seem to be plastic as well (and I guess lawsuit safe). Thanks for the view of some awesome peeling paint.

    • Thank you and you’re welcome! More great patina to come…stay tuned. 🙂

  5. Been a while since I was at the local park that has the basketball hoops, and can’t remember if they’re plastic or metal….
START of March Madness? Ugh, I was hoping it was over.

    • Yeah, you and me both. This was my way of acknowledging the ‘event’ without getting into it!
