The rain is insane

it hurts my brain

“Aquaman” (Raindrops on Glass) Nikon D300, 200mm, F/13, 1/80s, +0.3EV, ISO 640, Built-in Rear Curtain Flash, -2.0EV, Color Efex Pro Bi-color Gradient Filter

I could complain

but it would be in vain.

Sigh. 😦

  1. I’ve been seeing it from all the chatter on Twitter about the rain along the eastern seaboard. Hang in there!

    • Thanks, Scott! It is really, really crazy!

If I see Noah, I am grabbing my hubby and climbing on-board! 🙂

  2. Rain, rain, go away… ruin someone else’s day! (But not mine, please! 😉 )

    Those background colors are gorgeous!

    • Ha! Thank you, Michaela! Rain should end today and then we can begin the process of drying out!

  3. At least it seems as if you have some green out there to go to when the sun comes back.
You have caught one drop just when it hit the glass so we can tell it’s ‘live rain’ 😉
    Nice colors….

    • Yes, things are greening up but the colors you see in this image are put there via the bi-clor gradient. Otherwise, the background would have been too blah. I love the little ‘man’ drop! Thanks, Carsten! 🙂

  4. Ooh, those are such rich colors! I love the way they blend in together. So calm, so too damn beautiful!

  5. A pretty depiction on life in New England recently.

  6. those tones are fantastic. very calming. if i knew the world would look like this photo i’d kind of wish it was raining here.

  7. What an awesome image that conveys your mood. Great use of rear-curtain and the bi-color filter.

(And thanks for your nice comment on my photo in Darwin’s blog!)

    • Thanks so much, Ray! I really just liked the little raindrop splotch that looked human. Akin to that ‘sometimes your the bug’ mantra. With the winter we had and now this rainy, horrible spring, I am definitely feeling like the bug! 🙂

(You’re welcome! Your autumn image is spectacular!)

  8. So CLEAR and SHARP and CRISP. One day I’ll get some good glass. 🙂

    • Ha! I think I’ve gotten used to this level of quality. I do use Nik Dfine on most of my images to remove the inherent digital noise found in all DLSRs. But, good glass DOES help! 🙂

  9. clear as water on glass,
    great picture(s):)

    Thank you,

    Laz

    • Why, thank you, Laz! I so appreciate your stopping by to view my blog and for posting a wonderful comment! I hope you come back again! Take care! 🙂
