  1. Hahaha… That top shot is hilarious… That’s the “Pizza !!… What Pizza !?!?” kinda look… Thanks for the laugh Tracy.. πŸ™‚

    • LOL, Brian! OR it could be, the ‘Who’s got Pizza??!! YOU got Pizza??!! I LOVE PIZZA!!!!’ πŸ˜€

You’re welcome! These little critters make me laugh on a daily basis. That is why I keep feeding and photographing them!

      Thanks! πŸ™‚

  2. These are simply ADORABLE!!!! Thanks for the smile! πŸ™‚

    • The critters totally crack me up and I have so many shots like this – sort of animal out-takes since they aren’t doing the ‘natural animal behaviors’ we are all so used to seeing in nature mags – figured we could all use a smile today.

Thanks for the compliment and, you’re so very welcome! πŸ™‚

  3. I think this guy is stealing stuff from you and hiding it! Priceless shot with “Say What?”

    • Ha! You are probably right! They are very good at stealing! (Side story: just today, a grey squirrel went through Cleo’s cat door to get to the stash of peanuts we have on our porch! Jim walked in as the crime was occurring! The poor squirrel didn’t know what to do! Luckily, it didn’t take us long to get it out of the house!)

      Thanks, Sean! πŸ™‚

  4. Awww.. these are SO ADORABLE!!!!
No fair, we don’t have any cute little critters like these here!

    • Thanks, Michaela! They all have their own unique little personalities, too. So much fun to watch!

    • Really no chipmunks there? I thought those little guys were everywhere.

Such a great shot! Love those stuffed cheeks.

      • Thank you, karma! Somewhere I have a shot of a ‘munk with one peanut (in the shell) in EACH cheek and a third in it’s mouth – hilarious! πŸ™‚

  5. The first one made me laugh out loud. My niece’s boys look like that when there’s a bag of candy around.

I almost stepped on a Chipmunk during my walk in the woods over the weekend. Gave us both a start.

Oh, and a belated Happy Anniversary!

    • Glad I could give you a laugh today, Scott! They never fail to crack me up!

I bet that chipmunk squeaked when he saw that huge shoe coming! Glad you missed!

Thanks for the well wishes, Scott! πŸ™‚

  6. you should tell them that winter is over and they don’t need to store peanuts in their face anymore.

i really like the second one. turns out i react well when there is that touch of color. plus there’s a bit of an “oooooomigod there’s a person out here…whatdoido, whatdoido” quality to the expression.

    • They are getting ready for NEXT winter! Amazing how many hours a day they spend gathering….

Ha! Yeah, I can see that in his/her expression! They’ve become quite used to us and sadly, know us as ‘the ones who bring us food!’

      Thank you, Stephen!

  7. Too funny and cute. Love the cheeks. πŸ˜‰

    • Well, who wouldn’t?? πŸ™‚

I probably shouldn’t admit this, but, in for a short time in my youth I had the nickname ‘chipmunk cheeks’! πŸ˜‰

      Thanks, Babs!

  8. OMG cuteness overload again!! This really made me smile πŸ™‚

    • We will never know how they pack so much cuteness into such a small package! Glad they made you smile – thanks!

  9. Chipmunks are so cute and both photos capture that cuteness very well.

    • I know! How cute are they??? Makes one glad to be a photographer!

      Thank you, Lynn!

  10. Those little, I mean big cheeks are so funny. They are so cute. Good catch!

    • Can you just imagine if we carried our stuff around like this?? LOL!

      Thanks, Jan!

  11. I LOVE the composition of the second photo!

  12. Those chipmunk sunday funnies are great – and their expressions too. Those photos were gorgeous!
Are the chipmunks common in USA / Massachusetts??? We do not have them here in Denmark!

    • WHAT?! NO Chipmunks in Denmark??!! Oh, that is just terrible! πŸ˜‰ From what I understand, chipmunks are found in North America and Asia, so I guess you are out of luck. But, I bet you have many cute critters that we don’t have here. Gives us a reason to travel, yes?

Thanks, truels! Just wanted to give everyone a smile! πŸ™‚

  13. These photos are irresistible! You are both very lucky to have these little critters and also very clever of course, to get such photos πŸ™‚ I have to suggest once more that you make a little book…

    • Thank you, giiid! I didn’t realize these little critters weren’t everywhere as they are quite prevalent in the states (at least in my state of Massachusetts). I do have so many shots of them as, in general, critters are my favorite subjects! πŸ™‚

Hmmm, you may be onto something there! But FIRST, I have to finish the book on the playground series!!

  14. Wow, these are really sweet shots, Tracy. Nice catches. The first one is my fav’. He’s like, “Guess how many nuts I can get in my mouth!”

    • Thanks, Dave! Ha! Yeah, they are expressive little characters! (as well as ravenous gatherers!!)

  15. OMG, so cute, love his cute little cheeks, great capture πŸ™‚

  16. Top one looks like an old man to me. Maybe looking for his cane?

Are the top and bottom the same ‘munk?

    • Ha! You always think they look like old men!

No idea if they are the same one…shots were taken on different days and they all look alike! πŸ™‚
