Love isn’t wine and roses, cards and chocolates. (But, yes, those are nice).

Nope, love is walking side by side through this crazy thing called life and managing to make each other laugh along the way.

Thanks for the smiles, babe, and for loving me so well. No one does it better. 🙂

Happy Valentine’s!

  1. Tracy <—– button pusher

    • Ha! I get it! 🙂

Button Pusher….now that’s a fantastic name for this image!

  2. Ah, great James Bond song by Carly Simon.

    • I gotta hand it to you Scott, it took me a bit to get the reference! Yes, Nobody Does It Better is a GREAT song! 🙂

  3. … AND managing to walk in the same direction together too whenever there are forks in the road, or lumps or hills LOL.
Himself and I played a very silly game once on a Paris street. There were bollards to stop cars parking on the pavement and we were holding hands, Himself was on the outer edge and every time we came to a bollard we would fling our joined hands up and over it in exaggerated fashion. The we came to a real lamp-post and stopped dead in our tracks because neither of us wanted to let go hands, but clearly raising our arms wasn’t going to clear the lamp-post.
Then we heard laughing behind us and turned to find a now very embarrassed Frenchman laughing at us… he muttered an apology and Himself and I exploded in giggles because we had been totally oblivious to that fact that anyone might actually have been watching us. We still do the bollard thing, but now we let go to get around lamp-posts LOL 🙂
Song I might have chosen? = “Wind beneath my Wings”

    • So true! 🙂 (And, in your specific case, and carrying you when you fall and break your foot? 😉 )

What a FUN story! This doesn’t surprise me at all! Silliness is a wonderful trait to have. Hubby and I have been known to be very silly at times (alright, I have to admit, I tend to be bit more silly than he and often delight in embarrassing him!) I really don’t care what the general public thinks as long as it gets a smile from my honey (which it does).

Silly is good. Silly is fun. More should try it. I bet you two made that Frenchman’s day! 🙂

      • yes about the foot… physio says mid march before I can reasonably be back at work and more weeks before off crutches. Ugh.
Yep, we were probably speaking English together too at the time and of course we have no accent that could count us as ” americans” so we were probably mistaken for “english” people .
…as you might know, most French already think “les rosbifs” are a little mad LOL.
That means that Monsieur Frenchman probably thought that all his worst fears about these foreigners had been confirmed LOL.
(Therefore I extend my apologies to all English people who inadvertently took the blame for our KiwiDutch silliness!)
But ahhhh… you are right, silliness IS fun!

  4. Happy Valentine’s Day, X O X O X O

  5. How sweet! ♥
    Happy Valentine’s Day!

  6. Babe –

We do manage to laugh a lot. After all these years that is such a good thing.

At least I know what happened to my missing shirt button!

    Love ya always!

  7. i might have to make one of those love button thingys! happy valentine’s day!!

    • I wish I had made it, but alas, no. This is just a piece of a very small framed sampler where the buttons are actually in the shape of a heart. Too cute! 🙂

  8. What a neat and different Valentine’s shot. Sweet sentiment too!
I don’t know if Kiwidutch will ever see this comment, but she’s got me wondering exactly what a bollard is!

    • Thanks so much, Karen! 🙂

Bollards are those short posts used to prevent cars from going into places they shouldn’t (like sidewalks)! We see them a lot in Boston, and they typically are painted green for some reason, but I’ve also seen them in stone.

    • Kiwidutch has seen your question: this is a website with some on 🙂 (they come in different heights, thicknesses, colours etc)

  9. Very sweet. 🙂

  10. Very nicely said, Tracy and the accompanying photo is great – original and relative 🙂

  11. Very nice… except now that I think about it… I think I’ve lost a button! 🙂

    • And, here you are again! 🙂

Thanks! If you’re nice, I just might let you buy your button back… 😉

  12. Thanks for a very sweet post. 🙂

  13. Glad you had a good one
