Whenever I don’t quite feel like exercising, all I need is this little reminder that summer is a mere 10 weeks away…

  1. That is SUPER Awesome!

I am sure you will look spectacular as usual!

    • Aw, thanks, honey.

If only you weren’t so completely biased! 🙂

  2. LOL… Do you think the same motivation would work for me ???…

    • Oh, definitely. 😉

Afterall, who doesn’t look good in orange?? 🙂

  3. You are one brave woman to wear this… and I’m sure hubby would rather see you OUT of it than in it 😉

Shoot, now you make me regret not getting that “little black dress” I saw a few weeks ago. Chances are, it’s gone now.

Good luck, and have fun exercising! I’m still recovering from a personal tortu.., I mean training session on MONDAY!

    • Hehehe…perhaps. Being vertically challenged, with a short waist and legs to match, two-piece suits are the only ones that look decent on me. This one has really great coverage where it counts!

My motto is “Buy now, you can return later.” 😉

Thanks! I told myself I would commit to a 16-week program and I’m 9 weeks in, 7 weeks to go. I’m now seeing muscle definition I thought was gone forever so there is hope!

Aw…try to take it easy on yourself! Listen to your body and give it the rest it needs. Then, you can come back stronger than ever!

  4. Good for YOU! My exercise days will be some time away yet, so all I can do is offer encouragement for yours!
Put that bikini somewhere where you will see it often (or close to the fridge LOL)as a “motivational tool” 🙂

    • You’ll get there, Kiwi! Damn that injured foot of yours! 😦

BUT, you know, there are many things you can do that do not require you to stand! Ab workouts, arm workouts…etc. BUT, I can certainly understand being unmotivated with the pain level being so high. Sigh…I so wish I could ‘wish’ your pain away!

Thanks so much! I need all the encouragement I can get! 🙂

  5. When do we get to see the self portrait? Lol!

    • Ooooh, uh, that would be never. 🙂

There isn’t enough retouching in the world….

  6. My bikini top is blue.
hehehe (I never get tired of that joke, M.P.)
    🙂

  7. I don’t think there is enough exercise in the world that would allow me to look good in something like that. 😉

Good for you! (I really like the color, too.)

    • With ALL the walking you do?? Now, I doubt what you say is true! 🙂

I LOVE orange! It is my absolutely favorite color to wear so when I saw this suit, I (hoped) it would fit! (The little white fishy accents are cute, too. 😉 ) I admit, I do need a bit more toning in the hip/thigh area to wear it well and I’m determined to use the next 7 weeks to get there!

      Thanks, Robin! 🙂

  8. Kudos to you for having the chutzpah to wear a suit like that! (And the bod to go with it, I’m sure). I went from being too skinny in high school for a two-piece (my boney hip bones would hold the bottom of the suit up for too easy “viewing” while lying on the beach) to my body never being the same after having kids. I wear a two-piece with the long-style top – the name of that style is escaping me at the moment.

    • Ha! It’s easy to have ‘chutzpah’ in the privacy of my own backyard! 🙂 (“Tank-ini” is the word you are searching for…)

Too Skinny” – yeah, I’ve never had that problem! 😉

However, I’ve always had a somewhat hour-glass shape – meaning, I’ve always liked that I had a small-ish waist (could do without the hips!) So, two-piece suits were what I went for since they accentuate that feature (and finding the right style is a must). Earlier this year, I began noticing that my ‘I-thought-you’d-always-be-small’ waist had widened to a point where I was simply NOT happy and therefore, began my workout committment. Still have a ways to go, but Look out, Summer! Here I come! 🙂

  9. Wow! Good for you! I haven’t worn a bikini in 20 years and am envious of people brave enough to do so. Good luck with the remaining 7 weeks! Cute suit and I love orange too.

    • Thank you, Becky.

We all do (and wear) what is best for our own body shapes. I’ve seen some very sexy one-piece and tankini’s (most are simply too long-waisted for me). It is all about fit and comfort! (If you only knew just how many suits I tried on to find ones that actually look good!) 🙂

  10. Let us hope summer is only 10 weeks away!

  11. Giddy up! 🙂

  12. Great suit! Yeah, that is some good motivation for sure 🙂

    • Thanks, Amber! Yes, this was quite the nice find and somewhat a reward for all the hard work I’ve been doing! 🙂

  13. Cute! I love my exercise time. It is my me time.

    • Thanks, Amy! What a fantastic attitude you have towards exercise! I look at it as a necessary evil and the only thing I like about it are the results! 🙂

  14. I am actually giving myself a full year before I wear something that looks like that but nonetheless, it is a great motivator.

    • Good luck in your pursuit! It IS achievable!

For me, the elliptical machine, combined with upper and lower body weight training and ab workouts by Cathe Friedrich, is proving to be a winning combination. Woo hoo! 🙂

  15. Nice swimsuit
