When you have the need for speed, a tire blowout is bound to happen! 🙂

“Peeling Rubber” (Wooden Car, Child’s Play Stucture) Playground Series (#5), Nikon D300, 48mm, F/6.3, 1/250s, +0.3EV, ISO 200, ‘Old West’ Toning Action

For those playing along, this is the fifth image in the Playground Series.

(Pairs quite nicely with Overdrive, eh?)

Like a favorite pair of old jeans, this tire swing is worn in all the right places!

“Feelin’ Groovy” (Tire Swing, Dane Street Playground) Playground Series (#4), Nikon D300, 42mm, F/7.1, 1/160s, ISO 200, ‘Old West’ Toning Action

(As the fourth entry in my Playground Series, this image makes a great companion to Chain Gang. Hint, hint ;-)).

Here’s the third image in the Playground Series‘. (First and second images can be found here and here).

“Overdrive” (Steering Wheels, Child’s Play Structure) Playground Series (#3), Nikon D300, 34mm, F/7.1, 1/160s, +0.3EV, ISO 200, ‘Old West’ Toning Action

Travelling to a different playground yielded more interesting photo ops. I don’t quite understand the two steering wheels, but I suppose it eases the inevitable disputes over who gets to drive?

Well, maybe not for the unfortunate third child delegated to the back seat! 🙂
