“Need a Hug?” (Snowshoe Siamese Cat) Nikon D300, 105mm, F/3.2, 1/100s, -0.3EV, ISO 640

After the day I’ve had, here is one sure thing that makes it all better…

Well, that and alcohol.

And chocolate.

Yes, definitely chocolate.

Lots of chocolate.

Alcohol and chocolate.

Yeah, that might do it…

😀

My sister, Lori, has been nagging asking me for quite some time to post photos of my beautiful Snowshoe Siamese cat, Cleo. 😉

It’s not that I haven’t tried to get decent shots of my little girl; it’s more that Cleo isn’t all that, shall we say, accommodating?? If she even suspects that I’m taking her picture, I instantly get the ‘look’. So, I have to resort to using my long lens and catch her completely unawares.

I was going to save these for Lori’s birthday near the end of the month, but what the heck, Sis – here’s your birthday gift a bit early! 🙂

The post actually does double duty today. With hubby travelling for business, I know he is missing his furry baby girl back at home, so these will certainly make him smile.

Now, as for me, while I am missing seeing his baby blues, I can look at Cleo’s and think of him.

Awwwwww.

“Lexie” (Barn Tabby Cat Behind Clear Corrugated Lexan) Nikon D300, 105mm, F/8, 1/500s, ISO 400

Out doing errands today (typical Saturday), we stopped by Richardson’s Ice Cream (the local dairy farm) thinking the cows and antique farm equipment might yield some interesting photo opportunities.

After about 45 minutes of feeling no inspiration whatsoever, I caught a glimpse of a cat staring out at us from behind the corrugated plastic windows of the cow barn and instantly, I am off and running, knowing, THIS is the shot I came for! 🙂

Alot of my photos just work out that way for me and I love the thrill and total surprise of it all.

Happy Tracy is back. 🙂

Took a ride out to Russell Orchards in Ipswich to enjoy the gorgeous summer-like weather (and to pick up some of their yummy cider donuts hot off the fryer!) The resident greeter feline was slacking off a bit, soaking up the late afternoon rays and ignoring all the attention from passers-by.

“That’s My Name” (Russell Orchards’ Resident Orange Tabby), Nikon D300, 105mm, F14, 1/500s, ISO 400, SB900 w/Gary Fong Lightsphere Cloud, -3.0EV

Several people took photos of the sleeping cat, but I can guarantee, none got this shot! 🙂
