Our unseasonably warm temperatures appear to be waking the insect world!

I found this little ladybug soaking up the warmth of the noon sun at a quaint park I visited to photograph old equipment for the ‘Playground Series’.

After ourvery long winter, she is a most welcome sight! 🙂

There’s nothing better than a lazy Sunday, with lots of warm sunshine and big, fluffy white clouds against a picture-perfect blue sky. Oh, what a day! 🙂

Needless to say, I was already in a good mood and went looking for something that could capture this happy feeling.

One particular bright yellow Gerbera daisy was in the middle of opening, which to me, looked like the rays of the sun. The early afternoon sunshine was being filtered through the leaves of a tree high above and tossed about by a nice summer breeze, scattering some very interesting light patterns across the petals. Hmmmm, what could be happier-looking than that?

Well, how about you toss in a really cute red ladybug?

Yeah, that’ll do it. Mission accomplished! 🙂
