Hoops was never my game as I’m, ahemvertically challenged, but I know damn well how to shoot a basketball. (You learn alot as a highschool varsity cheerleader).

Don’t believe me? Go ahead, challenge me to a game of H-O-R-S-E.

C’mon, I double dog dare ya! 🙂

“In the Paint” (Basketball Hoop, Kimball-Haskell Park) Playground Series (#10), Nikon D300, 105mm, F/8, 1/500s, ISO 200, ‘Old West’ Toning Action

You just can’t beat the awesome patina on this outdoor backboard which more than qualified it for position #10 in the Playground Series‘.

See you on the court! 🙂

When you have the need for speed, a tire blowout is bound to happen! 🙂

“Peeling Rubber” (Wooden Car, Child’s Play Stucture) Playground Series (#5), Nikon D300, 48mm, F/6.3, 1/250s, +0.3EV, ISO 200, ‘Old West’ Toning Action

For those playing along, this is the fifth image in the Playground Series.

(Pairs quite nicely with Overdrive, eh?)

Like a favorite pair of old jeans, this tire swing is worn in all the right places!

“Feelin’ Groovy” (Tire Swing, Dane Street Playground) Playground Series (#4), Nikon D300, 42mm, F/7.1, 1/160s, ISO 200, ‘Old West’ Toning Action

(As the fourth entry in my Playground Series, this image makes a great companion to Chain Gang. Hint, hint ;-)).

I’ve decided to do a Playground Series based upon yesterday’s image.

Hooray! 🙂

With many neat structures in our area, I’m looking forward to what I might find.

“Rusty Monkey” (Monkey Bars, Child’s Play Structure) Playground Series (#2), Nikon D300, 48mm, F/8, 1/80s, ISO 200, ‘Old West’ Toning Action

So far, I’m thinking the tax dollars set aside for Parks & Rec are in serious need of analysis as clearly the kids are getting the short end of the stick! 🙂
